Interested in furthering your career?: How the Career Fair could help you in doing so

Career Services is hosting a Career Fair on Thursday, Sept. 15, to give students a chance to explore job and internship opportunities with well-known employers.

From 2 to 5 p.m., employers will be recruiting students. The fair is not open to the general public, so it is exclusive to those who attend Coastal. The event will be held in the Kimbel Arena gym in the Williams-Brice building, located near the baseball field and Chauncey’s Choice dining hall.

Tickets are not required to be purchased, nor will it be live-streamed, so students are ensured face-to-face experiences with potentially new bosses. However, students must register on Handshake, where a full list is provided of employers and what job or internship opportunities they are offering.

At the fair, free headshots will be provided at the LinkedIn photo booth. According to the Career Services Twitter account, students should dress in business attire. Clothing closets with the expected attire are located in the Wall and Spadoni Colleges for students who need them.

Some of the recruiters attending the event include Conway Medical Center, Horry County Schools, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), WBTW News13, and many more.
