The Chanticleer Newspaper has introduced the new incoming positions for the fall semester of 2026, as well as a change to our print schedule.
The Chanticleer will be going from a bi-weekly print issue to once a month, starting next semester. This will allow staff to utilize our online platforms more.
Sadly, our Editor-in-Chief (EIC) Leea Port and Managing Editor (M.E.) of Print Nora Smith will be graduating this May. Following this, new positions have been created to reflect the growing and changing Chanticleer newspaper. Instead of having a M.E. for both print and digital, the roll will become one, M.E .of Content. Mary Becker will take on this role. This new position will be responsible for the monthly editorial product as well as all digital products and platforms. Audrey Minzler will remain as our Managing Editor of Design. Madyson Bennett will continue as our Digital Associate. Bri Airey will be our Print Associate and News Editor. Favour Murtala will be our Sports Editor.
Hannah Rak will be our Arts and Entertainment Editor. Dannah Lane will be our new photographer. Izzy Neilson and Ava Norris are returning from their study abroad adventures next semester and will get to jump right back into The Chanticleer Newspaper. Neilson will be the Advertisement and Marketing and Social Media Manager. Bennett will also assist Neilson with our social media. Norris will take on the Ad Representative position.
