In the Feb. 5 issue of The Chanticleer, we covered the second annual Humanities Week. This year’s humanities week focused on the “Humanities at work,” which allowed students and faculty to moderate, participate and attend events.
We, at The Chanticleer, believe it is important to shine light on individual colleges, allowing students to express themselves and put their work on display in a variety of ways. Featured lectures were held by faculty and students, showcasing research, student projects and panel discussions. T
he Chanticleer’s very own Editor-in-Chief, Leea Port, wrote about her experience on a panel, where she discussed finding her voice in an increasingly noisy political world. Overall, the week showed students that there is more to the humanities than meets the eye and that it has lots to offer.
We hope that this tradition continues to grow and educate students every year.
