At approximately 2 a.m. on Wednesday, two Coastal Carolina University students were struck by a vehicle outside of the Coop Bar and Grill on S.C. Hwy 544, according to The Coastal Carolina Department of Public Safety crime log.
The CCU Department of Public Safety assisted the City of Conway Police Department on scene.
According to an article released by ABC News 15, both victims were transported to the hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.
“Coastal Carolina University’s Department of Public Safety (CCU DPS) is aware of an automobile incident involving pedestrians that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, Feb. 25, near S.C. Highway 544,” university marketing and communication said in an email to The Chanticleer.”The incident remains under investigation by the Conway Police Department. CCU DPS is not the lead agency in this matter, and no additional details are available at this time.”
