Coastal Carolina University students will have the opportunity to work hand in hand with the 2026 Banana Ball World Tour as they travel to Springs Brooks Stadium this spring.
The Party Animals and the Loco Coco Beach Coconuts will play in a spinoff dance-filled baseball game March 28-29, and organizers are recruiting CCU students to serve as event staff for the weekend.
Students selected to work in the series will fill roles in merchandise sales, event logistics and ticketing. According to a forwarded recruitment email sent to the CCU community by Steven Taylor, director of student success, recruitment and career transition, detailed role descriptions are outlined throughout the application process.
According to Banana Ball representatives, positions pay $15 per hour, and service hours are available upon request. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and all those interested must apply to be considered.
Banana Ball representatives also described the weekend as more than just a job.
“Truly the best weekend of work you’ll ever have! This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain relevant real-world experience,” Banana Ball representatives shared in the forwarded recruitment email from Taylor.
With the University set to host two games during the Banana Ball’s stop in Conway, professors hope students will get involved for the experience.
“Most of college is exploring opportunities and as professors we can give them all of this information, but somehow when it comes to somebody right there in their face it has more of an impact,” Lecturer of Communication Media and Culture Marc Krein said. “If you can be around those people talk to them and network it might just spark something that you want to pursue.”
Students interested can apply on the Banana Ball website or via the email sent out to university students by Taylor on Feb.11. Work opportunities begin March 27 with event logistics scheduled form 12-5 p.m. for the first shift of the series. Game day shifts occur the following days with ranging times.
