Best study spots on campus

Coastal students have the privilege to call this beautiful campus their home away from home. However, the campus can feel overwhelming sometimes, especially to new students. Relaxing can be difficult for college students and the environment plays a key role.

Since I have started school as a Chanticleer, I have gone out of my way to find the best places to study and relax. I love being outside, and taking my homework to the great outdoors on a beautiful day can help me immensely with my studies.

Here is my list of best places on campus to study in any type of weather in no particular order:

• The picnic tables in the woods connected to Prince Lawn;

This is a wonderful place to set up a hammock and watch students pass by while working on that marine science homework you have been meaning to get to;

• Atheneum Hall porch;

Located near Chauncey’s Choice Dining Hall, this porch has an array of teal beach chairs that are often completely empty.

• Outdoor seating at Starbucks and Einstein Bros. Bagels;

Both cafes offer great food options, and both have great study spots outside if you like to study with the smell of coffee and breakfast food around you;

• The outdoor seating at Hicks Dining Hall

• Wall Courtyard;

The Wall business building has a nice little courtyard in the back with some picnic tables;

• Edwards Courtyard.

Unfortunately, it can’t always be sunny in Conway, so here are some great indoor options:

• Second floor seating in Swain Hall

• Semi-circle table on the third floor of Wall;

This spot is located right at the top of the stairwell in the Wall College of Business building;

• LJSU relaxation room;

Directly across from the Kimbel Library, this room in Lib Jackson Student Union is great for naps in-between studying, and has two massage chairs.
