Coastal Carolina versus Louisiana Monroe

The undefeated Chanticleers will travel down to Louisiana to take on the 2-3 University of Louisiana Monroe Warhawks on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m.

Coastal is off to an impressive 5-0 start after beating Georgia Southern 34-30 on Saturday. This is the eighth straight win for the Chants, dating back to last season. ULM is coming off a loss to Central Arkansas after defeating in-state and conference rival Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns the week before.

The Chants are powered by a lethal rushing attack and efficient passing. They average 190 rushing yards a game with running back CJ Beasley leading the way with 409 yards on 72 attempts and two touchdowns. Quarterback Grayson McCall is continuing his stellar season with 1,336 yards, 14 touchdowns, and a 188.2 QB rating, which is third in the nation.

The Warhawks offense is backed by a three-heading rushing attack led by running backs Malik Jackson and Andrew Henry, and quarterback Chandler Rogers. The three have a combined 583 rushing yards.

ULM has suffered two blowouts by two premier programs in Texas and Alabama which have contributed to their near 37 points allowed per game.

The Chanticleers will look to take advantage of a defense that has given up an average of 381 yards per game. Coastal will look to continue their unbeaten season in their second on-road game and third Sun Belt game of the season.
