Music on the lawn

 

Etienne Charles, associate professor at Michigan State University in Ease Lansing Michigan is part of the Creole Soul.  

 

Students gathered outside of Blanton Park to listen to Charles and the Creole soul. The students brought towels and blankets to sit on outside while enjoying the performance.  

 

According to the Edwards college Charles is an associate professor of trumpet at Michigan State University in East Lansing. And according to the New York Times Charles is “an amateur” and by jazz times “a daring improviser who delivers a heart wrenching lyricism.”
