Get in line: Festival lineups are here

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and Boston Calling Music Festival took to social media on Jan. 10 to announce the artists expected to perform at each event this year.

In the desert, Coachella named major headliners such as Frank Ocean, Bad Bunny and BLACKPINK. The festival will run from Friday, April 14 until Sunday, April 23 in Indio, California.

Some mentionable pop artists include Labrinth, Becky G and Charli XCX. While some alternative/indie artists include WILLOW, Gorlliaz, Remi Wolf and Dominic Fike. New Wave Rock artist Blondie will be performing as well.

According to Hollywood Insider, Bad Bunny is making history by being the first Latino artist to headline the festival.

Coastal Carolina University senior Grace Heath said she is excited to see Bad Bunny as a headliner for such a prominent festival.

On the farm, Bonnaroo will feature headliners such as Kendrick Lamar, Odesza and Foo Fighters. Bonnaroo will run from Thursday, June 15 to Sunday, June 18 in Manchester, Tennessee.

Bonnaroo features many alternative/ indie artists such as Pixies, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Girl in Red, and Hippo Campus to mentionable hip-hop/ rap artists like Lil Nas X and Yung Gravy. For more of an alternative/rock route, Paramore and Korn will also be performing. Some folk/country artists include Noah Kahan, Tyler Childers, Fleet Foxes and Sheryl Crow.

This year, Bonnaroo has included a lot of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) artists. Some mentionable names in this genre are Zeds Dead, Griz, Subtronics and Shaquille O’Neal will be in attendance under his DJ name Shaq Diesel.

Up in New England, Boston Calling has named some headliners similar to Bonnaroo such as Foo Fighters, Paramore and The Lumineers. The festival will run from Friday, May 26 until Sunday, May 28. Boston Calling will take place in Boston, Massachusetts.

Boston Calling features some rock artists including Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Queens of the Stone Age and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Some pop acts include Alanis Morissette, Nial Horan and Fletcher. There are also some indie/folk artists performing which include Mt. Joy, Bleachers, The Flaming Lips and Noah Kahan.
