The Milwaukee Brewers selected Jacob Morrison 94 overall in round three. As the 2025 Sun Belt Pitcher of the year, Morrison joins former Coastal player Eric Brown Jr.
Morrison finished the season with a 12-1 record, and a 2.42 earned run average. He was the ace of the 2025 Coastal pitching staff. Morrison pitched the most innings for the team, throwing 107.
He held the lowest ERA on the team and went 8-0 in Sun Belt conference games. Morrison held SBC opponents to a 0.163 batting average in 10 starts.
Next selected in the ninth round, the Chicago White Sox drafted Riley Eikhoff 256 overall. Eikhoff is also joining a fellow Chanticleer; 2024 White Sox drafted Sam Antonacci.
